Meals on Wheels Spokane is currently seeking a Line Cook/Prep Cook. The qualified candidate is responsible for prepping and creating fresh institutional style meals that are packaged and then delivered to homebound older adults in our community. A competitive salary, Employee benefits (medical, dental, vision), a Monday thru Friday from 6:00am - 2:30pm shift, and limited nights and weekends to support fundraising events are some of the benefits offered to the successful applicant for this position.
The applicant must be able to meet the following requirements:
- WA state food handlers card (If you don't have one we can help you get one)
- Must have a valid and current drivers license
- Able to pass a background check.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare meals according to schedule and established processes.
- Be able to lift 20-40 lbs. on a regular basis
- Be able to assist and interact with volunteers in the kitchen
- Have good communication skills
- Standard cleaning tasks
- Drive a delivery van and hand out routes to volunteers at a secondary location.
- Follow all safety policies.
