We are seeking a passionate and skilled Independent Contractor Massage Therapist to join our dynamic wellness team. Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage tailored to client needs.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and ensure optimal results.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns, explain treatment options, and provide guidance on self-care practices.
- Maintain detailed records of client sessions, including treatment notes and progress reports, while adhering to confidentiality standards.
- Stay updated on the latest massage therapy techniques and industry best practices through ongoing education and training.
- Ensure a safe and hygienic environment by following proper sanitation protocols and maintaining equipment.
- Collaborate with clients to develop personalized wellness plans that support pain management, occupational health, or sports recovery goals.
Qualifications
- Valid massage therapy license or certification in accordance with local regulations.
- Proven experience in providing diverse massage modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and sports massage.
- Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to assess client needs accurately and communicate effectively.
- Prior experience working in med spas or occupational health settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated pain management experience and familiarity with client communication strategies for sensitive cases.
