We are seeking an experienced Technical Accounting Consultant to support a growing corporate accounting team focused on complex accounting matters, financial reporting, and accounting policy. This role serves as an internal accounting advisor, partnering with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure complex transactions are accounted for in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

What You'll Do:
- Research and analyze complex accounting issues in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, fixed assets, financing arrangements, debt modifications, and other technical accounting matters.
- Prepare technical accounting memorandums supporting accounting conclusions and recommended treatment.
- Evaluate contracts, business initiatives, and strategic transactions to determine the appropriate accounting treatment.
- Support the implementation and adoption of new accounting standards and assess their impact on the organization.
- Assist with the preparation of audited financial statements, footnote disclosures, and consolidated financial reporting.
- Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Legal, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to provide technical accounting guidance.
- Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors by preparing audit support, responding to technical inquiries, and resolving accounting issues.
- Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, documentation, and reporting efficiency.
- Support special projects and other technical accounting initiatives as assigned.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
- CPA strongly preferred.
- Five or more years of progressive accounting experience.
- Public accounting experience, preferably with a national or regional public accounting firm, is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting research.
- Experience preparing technical accounting memorandums and financial statement disclosures.
- Experience supporting external audits and working directly with auditors.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
