Duties
- Lead structured martial arts classes for children and adults, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed
- Develop customized training plans to meet individual student goals and skill levels
- Demonstrate martial arts techniques such as karate, judo, or other disciplines with clarity and enthusiasm
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and motivate participants to excel
- Maintain a safe training environment by enforcing behavior management policies and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and team members to foster engagement and address concerns
- Assist in organizing martial arts events, demonstrations, or competitions to showcase student achievements
Requirements
- Proven experience in martial arts such as karate, judo, or similar disciplines; certification preferred
- Prior experience working with children or in sports coaching environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to teach complex movements clearly
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR (including AED operation) to ensure safety during classes
- Experience in sports-specific training instruction or coaching is highly desirable
- Ability to demonstrate leadership in team settings and manage behavior effectively
- Background in physical education or sports team experience is a plus
- Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for teaching physical activity and promoting healthy lifestyles
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
