Our Client is looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on contractor to support a ground-up Standard Costing implementation and the related P&L/reporting impacts. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in the weeds of financial operations and cross-functional project work.
This is a 2-3 month contract role with potential to extend.
What You'll Be Working On:
- Supporting month-end close processes, reporting, and variance analysis across COGS and Inventory
- Managing ocean freight reconciliations and establishing standard costs going forward
- Conducting inventory adjustment analysis, including quality and cycle count reviews and related follow-ups
- Running posting analysis and providing IT ticket management support for new accounting setups
- Keeping project tasks, dates, and dependencies on track and supporting update meetings
- Developing a Standard Costing Master File that draws from multiple data sources to produce a standard cost by element for each SKU
- Working closely with subject matter experts to validate assumptions around yields, BOMs, and production rates
- Consolidating duplicate SKUs by vendor and managing the downstream IT, procurement, and inventory changes
- Performing WIP analysis and identifying BOM variances by SKU and quantity
- Validating account combinations for the new P&L presentation, including absorptions vs. actuals, intercompany eliminations, and template build-outs for upcoming BOM and cost updates
The Ideal Candidate Has:
- Project management tool experience
- Manufacturing accounting/finance background
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to dive into existing processes/reporting and clearly communicate findings
Pay: $80.00 - $90.00 per hour
