American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Labor and Delivery night shift position requiring BLS, AWHONN, and NRP certifications along with 2 years of preferred experience.

Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
-
12-hour night shifts (4x12, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
-
Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
-
Weekend requirement of 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks or every third weekend

Epic charting system experience preferred
-
Floating to like units within scope required as needed based on facility needs, with brief orientation provided

Active KS or Compact RN license required at time of submission

Current certifications required: BLS, AWHONN, and NRP

2 years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred

Previous charge experience preferred
-
Skilled in labor and delivery management including IV therapy, administration of blood products, and use of infusion pumps
-
Experience with high-risk antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care preferred
-
Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn stages
-
Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and high-risk delivery procedures
-
Manage fetal monitoring including external and internal fetal heart rate monitoring

Provide postpartum care including fundus/lochia/perineum assessment and breastfeeding support
-
Care for patients with conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, preterm labor, and multiple gestation
-
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position

Former permanent staff must have separated from employment for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation

Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
