About Sinai Mortuary
Sinai Mortuary is a family-owned funeral home situated in midtown Phoenix. Since 1971, we have been dedicated to serving the Jewish community with compassion and professionalism.
We are seeking a licensed funeral director to become a valued member of our staff. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure a thorough understanding of all Jewish Burial Traditions. It is not required to be Jewish to work at Sinai Mortuary; we welcome individuals from all backgrounds.
Qualifications
- Must be a licensed funeral director and embalmer or on the pathway to licensure.
- We are currently seeking an experienced, well rounded, team oriented, and motivated individual to join the Sinai Mortuary team
- Must be comfortable learning new software such as utilizing Sinai Mortuary’s systems to enter contracts and complete necessary forms in computer-based system as well good working knowledge of Microsoft/Window based applications
- Excellent communication skills; highly organized; self-starter
- Maintains open and effective communication and accurate, up-to-date client files
- Must have a current valid Arizona Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Funeral Director License (Required)
- Must be able bodied without lifting restrictions
Position Description
- Arrange and conduct funeral and memorial ceremonies in a professional, organized, and caring manner.
- Accurately prepare all documentation related to funeral services, cremations, and general maintenance.
- Responsible for the removal and transfer of deceased individuals.
- Perform sanitary care, cosmetology, hairstyling, dressing, and casketing of deceased individuals.
- Work every other weekend as part of the regular schedule.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, which includes answering phone calls.
Pay: $53,315.57 - $64,208.00 per year
