Bethel Kids Dental opened on December 2017 with a goal of serving the under-served communities of San Joaquin and Sacramento Counties. Bethel Kids Dental provides general dentistry for infants, children and adolescents, including those with special needs. We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and organized Front Office Coordinator who enjoys working with children and families for our Sacramento office.
This is for a full time position with a Monday to Friday work schedule. Bilingual is a must. Need to have a basic knowledge of computer use. Must be flexible and has the ability to multi-task. Able to work on a fast-paced environment and must love to work with children. Previous dental office experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Welcome, check in, and check out patients professionally.
- Verify patient information, forms, signatures, insurance, and payments.
- Schedule and confirm pediatric exams, cleanings, treatment, CRA, emergency, and recall appointments.
- Schedule orthodontic consultations, records, bonding, adjustments, debonding, retainers, and emergency visits.
- Follow up on missed appointments, overdue recalls, unscheduled treatment, orthodontic consultations, and observation patients.
- Answer calls, texts, and emails and document communications accurately.
- Collect copayments, balances, orthodontic down payments, and installment payments.
- Assist with insurance verification, treatment estimates, financial agreements, referrals, prescriptions, and school forms.
- Scan and attach documents and maintain complete, confidential patient records.
- Coordinate patient flow and communicate with the clinical team.
- Maintain front-office logs, supplies, and a clean, welcoming reception area.
- Assist with the No Cavity Club, office programs, and other assigned duties.
Qualifications
- Dental, orthodontic, medical, or front-office experience preferred.
- Pediatric dental or orthodontic scheduling experience is a plus.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Friendly, professional, dependable, and detail-oriented.
- Able to multitask and remain calm in a busy office.
- Comfortable using practice management software, digital forms, email, and text platforms.
- Basic knowledge of dental insurance and payment collection preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
