Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems within RVs, including RV electrical system diagnostics and automotive electrical systems
- Perform mechanical repairs such as brake repair, suspension work, shocks & struts, transmission servicing, and basic vehicle troubleshooting
- Conduct plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including RV plumbing system repairs and HVAC servicing
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to complete repairs efficiently and accurately
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections
- Troubleshoot complex issues involving diesel engines, heavy lifting tasks, and equipment repair with precision
- Assist with assembly and installation of RV components, ensuring all systems meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or service technician background with a strong foundation in automotive diagnostics and repair
- Extensive electrical experience including RV electrical system repair and automotive electrical troubleshooting
- Mechanical knowledge covering transmissions, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, brakes, suspension components, and heavy equipment maintenance
- Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair specific to RVs as well as general plumbing expertise
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other specialized machinery safely and effectively
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Experience with auto body repair or welding is a plus; familiarity with alignment procedures is advantageous
- Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks while maintaining safety protocols
