We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custom Millworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in crafting, assembling, and installing high-quality custom cabinetry, furniture, and architectural millwork. This role requires precision, creativity, and a strong understanding of woodworking techniques, machinery, materials and ability to read shop-drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and shop drawings to produce custom millwork.
- Fabricate, assemble, and install cabinetry, furniture, doors, panels, and other wood components to exact specifications.
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Measure, cut, shape, and finish wood and related materials with accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and installation teams to ensure design intent and quality standards are met.
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, organized, and safe workshop.
- Resolve fabrication or installation challenges as they arise.
- Uphold high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
- Ability to verify site dimensions before the fabrication process to ensure a smooth installation process.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a millworker, cabinetmaker, or similar woodworking role.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, joinery, and finishing methods.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in operating woodworking tools and machinery (saws, routers, sanders, CNC equipment knowledge is not required but is a plus).
- Strong math and measuring skills, with attention to precision and detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and install millwork components as required.
- Experience with custom, high-end residential or commercial projects.
