We are seeking an energetic, relationship-focused Development Director to lead fundraising, donor engagement, and community partnership efforts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to help grow a mission-driven organization while building a sustainable culture of philanthropy. The role is 32 hours per week, benefit eligible.
Duties
- Lead the creation and execution of annual fundraising strategies, including individual giving, major gifts, grants, sponsorships, special events, and digital campaigns.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, volunteers, community partners, and stakeholders through exceptional relationship management and public relations efforts.
- Oversee all aspects of fundraising activities, including event planning, estate planning initiatives, and volunteer management to maximize engagement and contributions.
- Manage databases such as Little Green Light and WordPress to track donor information, campaign performance, and data collection for targeted outreach.
- Coordinate digital marketing efforts utilizing social media management tools to enhance visibility and engagement across platforms.
- Lead the creation and execution of annual fundraising strategies, including individual giving, major gifts, grants, sponsorships, special events, and digital campaigns.
- Prepare budgets for fundraising campaigns and events while overseeing their execution to meet organizational objectives effectively.
- Experience
- Proven experience in nonprofit management or development leadership roles with a focus on fundraising, relationship management, and strategic planning.
- Demonstrated success in event planning, proposal writing, grant proposal development, and digital marketing campaigns.
- Strong familiarity with CRM systems such as Little Green Light; experience with Mailchimp and WordPress is highly desirable.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to build lasting relationships with diverse stakeholders including donors, volunteers, university partners, and community organizations.
- Knowledge of social media management strategies for nonprofit outreach.
- Ability to analyze data collection metrics to inform strategic decisions; experience in budgeting for large-scale events or campaigns is preferred.
- Demonstrated success securing philanthropic support through donor cultivation, major gifts, grants, sponsorships, or annual giving programs.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire support through storytelling and relationship building.
- A background in university or nonprofit environments that emphasizes social impact and community engagement is advantageous. Pay: $66,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
