Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services, ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays to optimize product visibility and appeal
- Provide knowledgeable support for customer inquiries via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent communication skills
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems, cashiering, and basic retail math for accurate transactions
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in a bilingual environment if applicable
- Ability to perform product demos confidently while highlighting key features to boost sales opportunities
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and inventory management within a retail or grocery store setting
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to handle customer inquiries effectively
- Experience in upselling techniques to maximize sales while maintaining customer satisfaction
