Required Credentials
Candidates must hold one of the following:
- Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS®)
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN)
- Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner (IFMCP)
- Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDNP)
- Certified Functional Nutritionist (CFN)
- Certified Clinical Nutritionist (CCN)
- Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) with specific functional nutrition training
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Functional Nutrition experience (distinct from general nutrition counseling).
- Demonstrated expertise in root-cause analysis, functional lab interpretation, and personalized lifestyle protocols.
Primary Responsibilities
- Clinical Care: Conduct comprehensive functional nutrition assessments, review health history and lifestyle factors, and develop individualized care plans.
- Functional Medicine Integration: Review nutrition-related laboratory and functional testing (within scope). Implement therapeutic interventions including elimination diets, gut restoration, and metabolic/hormonal support.
- Collaboration: Work directly within our interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes and adjust protocols based on clinical progress.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure full HIPAA and telehealth compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in telehealth delivery.
- Background in mental health, GI, hormone, or metabolic conditions.
- Familiarity with Ketogenic and gluten-free dietary protocols.
