The Mag Shack is seeking an experienced Director of Warehouse Operations to lead and scale our ecommerce fulfillment operation. This role is responsible for overseeing warehouse performance, inventory accuracy, shipping execution, labor planning, process improvement, and operational systems.
The ideal candidate has strong experience managing high-volume ecommerce warehouse operations and direct hands-on experience with ShipHero or similar WMS.
Responsibilities
As the Director of Warehouse Operations, you will:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, returns, inventory control, and cycle counting.
- Lead and develop warehouse managers, supervisors, team leads, and frontline associates.
- Manage fulfillment performance, including order accuracy, on-time shipping, labor productivity, and carrier cutoff compliance.
- Use ShipHero/similar WMS to improve inventory accuracy, order routing, warehouse workflows, pick/pack efficiency, bin locations, replenishment, and reporting.
- Monitor and improve key operational metrics, including ship-on-time rate, pick accuracy, receiving turnaround time, cost per order, shrinkage, and orders per labor hour.
- Plan staffing, scheduling, and labor needs based on order volume, seasonality, promotions, and business growth.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase speed, reduce errors, and improve the customer experience.
- Maintain high standards for warehouse safety, organization, cleanliness, training, and accountability.
- Partner with customer service, purchasing, merchandising, finance, and ecommerce teams to resolve fulfillment and inventory issues.
- Support warehouse layout improvements, automation opportunities, systems changes, and operational expansion projects.
- Manage relationships with shipping carriers and logistics partners as needed.
Qualifications
- Mandatory 5+ years of experience in high volume warehouse operations, fulfillment, distribution, logistics, or ecommerce operations.
- 3+ years of leadership experience in a high-volume ecommerce fulfillment environment.
- Direct experience using ShipHero is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead warehouse teams, including managers, supervisors, leads, and hourly associates.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce order fulfillment, inventory control, shipping, returns, and warehouse management systems.
- Experience managing KPIs, labor planning, operational reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with seasonal volume changes.
- Experience with Shopify, Amazon, Walmart Marketplace, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Gorgias, or similar ecommerce tools is a plus.

Schedule
- Full-time position
- Monday to Friday, with additional availability during peak seasons as needed
