JOB SUMMARY:
The position of Assistant Coach for Women’s Soccer is a part-time, 12 month appointment. The
Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of the Women’s Soccer
program at Felician University, with primary responsibility for teaching and training players in
the rules, regulations, equipment needs, skills and techniques of the respective sport.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach players the rules, regulations and needs associated with the respective sport.- Provide instruction in the development of skill sets required for participation in the sport.
- Provide coaching leadership, organization, and supervision of the Soccer program.
- Organize, supervise, and direct individual and small group skill set practice.
- Assess player’s skills, teach, and monitor assistant coaches and players during competition and practice.
- Monitor academic progress of the student-athletes in their respective academic programs.
- Develop game schedule, both home and away, in conjunction with the Assistant Athletic Director.
- Identify and supervise the purchase of team equipment and uniforms; maintain inventory of team uniforms and equipment.
- Manage expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines; maintain accurate information by account.
- Ensure adherence to NCAA Division II and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference rules and regulations.
- Assist with fund-raising and athletic promotion as needed.
- Assist in recruiting qualified student-athletes in accordance with Felician University and NCAA Division II rules and regulations.
- Provide complete and accurate statistical and promotional information to the sports information director on a timely basis.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Degree may be waived with significant coaching experience
- Minimum of 1-3 years of collegiate coaching experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA Division II and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) rules and regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, as well as other coaches and team managers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to complete all NCAA compliance requirements in accordance with the timelines provided by the NCAA governing body.
- Ability and willingness to abide by all NCAA policies, regulations and codes of conduct.
- Ability and willingness to support and promote the Felician Franciscan core values and mission of the University.
