Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in hotel rooms or commercial spaces, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and residents. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Manage laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing.
- Clean carpets and upholstery using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly maintained.
- Follow established housekeeping procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests promptly and courteously.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management immediately.
- Assist with special projects or deep cleaning tasks as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in custodial or housekeeping roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of residential cleaning techniques and commercial cleaning practices.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment effectively, including carpet cleaners and vacuum cleaners.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Attention to detail in all aspects of cleaning and sanitizing tasks.
- Experience in housekeeping is a plus but not required.
