A Life Compass, PLLC is a outpatient therapy and case management agency; some say a "diamond in the rough" agency. ALC is looking for the right individual(s) with a strong passion toward helping families / individuals with dedication toward their profession. Looking for individuals with common sense, compassion, dedication and sense of humor a must. ALC in return provides support, training and supervision. We are located in the center of Norway in a comfortable, family focused inviting environment. We are expanding by adding staff and new programs. Immediate openings to fill.
ALC has 3 clinical positions (furnished office space provided) and 1 case management position. We are a community-based agency assisting children, adolescents and adults. Family oriented atmosphere where the focus is on you; so, you can provide the best care possible to our clients. Support and supervision provided to meet licensing requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Diagnosing mental health symptoms (therapist)
- Providing a bio-psychosocial assessment (therapist and case manager)
- Developing a treatment plan to work on identified goals (therapist and case manager)
- Weekly therapy session to address identified goals with progress notes. Therapy and case manager)
- Abiding by the policy and procedures of A Life’s Compass, PLLC and the State of Maine specially section 65, 17 and 13
- Providing therapy to clients and their families through your choice of modaliities.
- Prepare and maintain all required treatment records, including progress notes to be kept up to date and organized at all times
- Act as the client’s advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems from a crisis situation. Evaluate client's safety of physical, emotional and mental conditions based on review of client information. Refer client and family to crisis evaluations when needed.
- Collaborate (as needed) with families, physicians, school personnel, probation, attorneys, and other interested parties to collect and exchange information necessary during treatment development.
- Refer clients to community resources or to other specialist for testing or needed specialized services.
- Review with client all medications for side effects and contact physician as needed.
- Make appropriate reports to the child abuse and neglect state agencies as needed
- Arrange for discharge planning
- Maintain good standing with State of Maine licensure broad to practice. Ideal candidate has a pleasant personality, sense of humor, dedicated, common sense, and organized who holds a Licensed Clinical Social Worker - LCSW or Licensed Master Social Worker Conditional Clinical or Licensed Professional Counselor - LPC.
- A Case Manager holds a MHRT with a 4- year college field related in mental health degree.
- Will consider internship for ideal candidate for Mental health training while working as a case manager.

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
