We are seeking a dependable, organized, and friendly Front Office Administrator to join our team and serve as the first point of contact for our patients.
Position Summary
The Front Office Administrator is responsible for creating a positive patient experience by managing front desk operations, scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate patient records, and supporting providers and clinical staff. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced medical office.
Essential Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion.
- Check patients in and out efficiently while ensuring accuracy of demographic and insurance information.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a courteous and timely manner.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
- Verify insurance eligibility and obtain referrals or authorizations as needed.
- Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding patient balances.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Scan and upload patient documents into the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Respond to patient inquiries and portal messages as appropriate.
- Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Assist with administrative projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of front office or customer service experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
Preferred:
- Experience in a medical office, preferably OB/GYN or women's healthcare.
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic experience is a plus).
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
