We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a comfortable experience for our patients. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health, performing assessments, and assisting in various dental procedures.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical history.
- Fluent in Spanish but not required
- Perform dental cleanings and scaling procedures while adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental check-ups.
- Assist the dentist during examinations.
- Utilize EMR systems for documentation review and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care in both general and pediatric dentistry settings.
- Utilize dental terminology effectively while communicating with patients and staff.
- Ensure infection control protocols are followed to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental practices, including medical imaging techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or in a similar role within a dental office or clinic setting.
- Familiarity with dental software such as OpenDental is preferred but it is not required.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control measures.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting duties when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient assessments.

Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
