Job Summary: Ironworkers Local 5 seeks skilled Journeyman Ironworkers, welders, riggers & apprentices to support commercial infrastructure throughout the region. Key Responsibilities
- Erect and connect structural steel, columns, beams, girders, trusses, and decking.
- Install reinforcing steel (rebar) and post-tensioning systems according to project specifications.
- Bolt, weld, or secure steel members using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Rig, signal, and assist cranes during steel erection operations.
- Install metal stairs, handrails, catwalks, miscellaneous metals, and ornamental iron.
Qualifications
- Welding certifications (AWS) are a plus but not required.
- Current OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license and work authorization
- Reliable transportation preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding, and cutting equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, work at heights.
- Ability to pass any required pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background checks consistent with applicable laws
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting Journeyman Wages: $40.90/hour; annual raises applicable
- Leadership opportunities and pay available.
