Job Title: CAD/CAM Programmer (Mastercam, CNC Mill & Turn)
Location: Norfolk, VA
Compensation: $95k - $105k/yr DOE
Requirements: Associates in Manufacturing Technology, or similar field 5+ years in Mastercam programming for CNC Mill, 2D/3D CAD (Inventor Preferred), G-Code
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CAM Programmer to support CNC machining operations through advanced programming, fixture design, and collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities

Create and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for milling and turning operations.

Develop tooling paths for new and existing parts.

Design and create CNC workholding fixtures for machining operations.

Design soft fixtures for secondary manufacturing processes and inspection applications.

Support CAD modeling and drawing revisions.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturability and efficiency.
Qualifications
-
Associate degree in a technical field (Engineering degree preferred).

5+ years of CAD/CAM experience in a manufacturing environment.

Strong experience with Mastercam Mill 3D and Turning.

Ability to read and analyze G-code.

Experience with 3D CAD modeling (Inventor preferred).

Workholding and fixture design experience.

CNC machining/manufacturing background.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to have)

5-axis Mastercam programming.

Dual-spindle turning experience.

3D printing experience.
-
CMM and inspection experience.
