Join our dedicated home healthcare team as a Home Care Aide, Caregiver, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) specializing in weekend hours! Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, recognizing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately in electronic health record (EHR) or electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Administer medications and perform catheter care following medical terminology guidelines and home healthcare regulations.
- Provide specialized dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice support tailored to individual needs.
- Support clients with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and cleaning to promote a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Maintain patient records with meticulous attention to detail while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards for patient confidentiality.
- Communicate effectively with clients and their families to ensure clarity of care plans and foster trustful relationships.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, geriatrics, or in assisted living environments.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and vital signs monitoring.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation of patient care activities.
- Certification in First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS), including CPR training.
- Experience working within home health care agencies or providing hospice or end-of-life care is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
- Strong understanding of home health care regulations, patient personal care assistance techniques, and client communication skills.
