Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Splicer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various telecommunications systems. This role requires a strong understanding of computer networking and IT infrastructure, as well as hands-on experience with cabling and field service operations. The Splicer will work both indoors and outdoors, utilizing specialized tools and equipment to ensure seamless connectivity for our clients.
Duties
- Install, splice, and terminate fiber optic and copper cables according to industry standards and schematics.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on telecommunications systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues in a timely manner.
- Utilize power tools and equipment such as voltmeters and bucket trucks safely and effectively during installations and repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including schematics and installation documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service during field service visits, addressing client concerns professionally.
Skills
- Proficient in computer networking principles and IT infrastructure setup.
- Strong knowledge of telephone systems and cabling techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately.
- Experience with field service operations in telecommunications or related industries.
- Familiarity with using power tools, voltmeters, and other technical equipment safely.
- Competence in working at heights using bucket trucks or similar equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
