Job Title: Patient Care Technician

Job Type: Contract
Job Duties:
- Perform continuous patient observation and safety checks (every 15 minutes) to monitor behavior and prevent harm
- Assist patients with daily living activities like hygiene, meals, and maintaining routines
- Engage therapeutically with children and adolescents through conversation, activities, and emotional support
- Observe and report behavioral changes related to conditions such as ADHD, depression, and bipolar disorder
- Support nurses and the care team by documenting patient status and assisting with care plans
- Perform basic clinical tasks like vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy as needed
- Use de-escalation techniques to manage agitation and promote a safe, calm environment
Job Requirements:
- BLS (AHA) Certification
- CPCT/A Certification from NHA
- Experience in Stepdown/PCU department
