Responsibilities:
- Perform safety checks, pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safe operating condition
- Refuel trucks and add fluids, as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety and maintenance procedures
- Complete any needed reports for defective equipment
- Drive trucks between pre-established pick-up locations
- Operate hydraulic lifting devices to empty truck; attach hooks to receptacles
- Communicate with dispatchers concerning delays, unsafe routes, accidents, equipment breakdowns
- Keep informed of weather conditions
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL-B)
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with roll off trucks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor
- Mechanical knowledge related to truck operations
Summary
As a Roll Off Driver, you will be responsible for operating specialized vehicles to transport scrap metal safely and efficiently. Reporting to the Operations Manager, your core skills in commercial driving and heavy lifting will be essential in ensuring safe and timely deliveries. Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
