We are looking for a full time, year round Maintenance Laborer to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs, cleaning and various facility services. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to excelling in this position. The ideal candidate will have experience and basic technical knowledge. You must also possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc.
- Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
- Install appliances and equipment
- Assisting other departments in various task's
- Perform garden/ yard / site upkeep by mowing lawn, removing weeds, collecting trash and other debris, watering lawns, etc.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems
- Check functionality of safety systems
- Use of yard maintenance equipment (weed whacker, lawn mower, etc.)
- Operate various hand and electrical tools
- Perform snow removal during winter season
- Install / remove holiday decorations
- Perform other various exterior tasks such as repair potholes, crack seal, parking lot painting, power washing sidewalks & building,
- Removal/ installation of items such as furniture, desks, rugs, pictures, bulky and heavy items from suites (prescheduled basis).
- Install & take down interior holiday decorations/ lights/ displays (prescheduled basis).
- Maneuvering of common area benches, tables, and chairs (prescheduled basis).
- Kiosk placement and removal (prescheduled basis).
- Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations
- Report to a facilities or maintenance contact for issues
Requirements:
- Experience using hand and electrical tools
- Ability to operate various pieces of vehicles and equipment in a safe and prudent manner
- Willingness to attend various training/ classes concerning OSHA, and operation of equipment or other company needs
- Ability and willingness to follow instructions as given
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina and dexterity
- AK state issued Drivers License.
- No High risk insurance (SR-22)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of 90 day probationary period
