Summary
Strategic Technology Institute (STi) is seeking experienced Aircraft Mechanic II – Hydraulics personnel to support KC-135 Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot-Level aircraft maintenance operations. This position is based at Fairchild AFB, WA and requires travel to support maintenance operations throughout the United States and overseas. Ideal candidates specialize in aircraft hydraulic systems, with experience troubleshooting, repairing, servicing, and testing hydraulic components to maintain peak aircraft performance and mission readiness.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft hydraulic systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, service, and replace hydraulic components and assemblies.
- Perform operational checks, leak checks, and system testing.
- Read and interpret Technical Orders, hydraulic schematics, engineering drawings, and maintenance manuals.
- Remove and replace aircraft components as required.
- Complete maintenance documentation accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
- Support aircraft inspections and operational readiness.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Travel as required to support mission requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hydraulic maintenance experience on an Air Force wide-body aircraft (KC-135 preferred).
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing aircraft hydraulic systems.
- Ability to interpret Technical Orders, hydraulic schematics, and engineering documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Clearance Required.
