Painting Subcontractor / Crew Lead
Palisades Painting & Restoration – Bergen County, NJ
Palisades Painting & Restoration is looking for an experienced, reliable painting subcontractor or small painting crew to partner with us on residential painting projects throughout Bergen County.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates professionally with homeowners, and is capable of managing a painting project from start to finish.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced painter, crew leader, or small painting company that wants a consistent pipeline of quality projects without having to spend their own time and money generating leads, marketing, or purchasing project materials.
Responsibilities
- Complete interior and exterior residential painting projects
- Manage and supervise your own painting crew
- Maintain professional workmanship and jobsite cleanliness
- Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the project
- Review project scopes and ensure work is completed as agreed
- Coordinate scheduling and day-to-day project progress
- Identify additional work or changes that may arise during a project
- Perform final walkthroughs and ensure customer satisfaction
- Occasionally assist with estimating or evaluating potential painting projects
For the right person, there is also an opportunity to take on a larger role with Palisades Painting & Restoration, including estimating projects and managing jobs from the initial appointment through completion.

On projects assigned to you:
- Palisades Painting & Restoration provides the customer opportunity
- Project materials are paid for by Palisades Painting & Restoration
- You provide the labor, crew, equipment, and management necessary to complete the project
- Compensation is structured as a percentage of the project, with additional earning opportunities for taking on estimating and project-management responsibilities

Ideal Candidate
We are especially interested in someone who:
- Has several years of professional painting experience
- Has their own painting company, crew, or established team
- Can independently manage residential painting projects
- Has experience with both interior and exterior painting
- Owns professional painting equipment, including ladders and preferably a sprayer
- Has reliable transportation
- Is dependable and responsive
- Is comfortable communicating directly with homeowners
- Has strong attention to detail
- Understands how to properly estimate labor and manage job profitability
- Wants consistent opportunities without having to personally generate every customer
Experience estimating painting projects is a plus, but not required.

Compensation
Project-based subcontractor compensation with additional earning opportunities for estimating and project management.
High-performing subcontractors who are capable of handling projects independently will have the opportunity to take on a significant volume of work.

Pay: $35.00 - $80.00 per hour
