Duties
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Process cash transactions and credit card payments efficiently, handling cash handling responsibilities with accuracy
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas quickly to ensure smooth service flow
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably in fine dining or high-volume settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Demonstrated ability in beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and upselling techniques
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing bills seamlessly
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices in the food industry
- Previous experience in culinary settings or kitchen experience is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must be 21 years old or older to make cocktails for your tables
