Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility assistance tailored to client’s needs
- Assist with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed health routines
- Support clients with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and errands to promote independence and well-being
- Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
- Foster a safe environment by following safety protocols and using proper lifting and transfer techniques
- Build trusting relationships through active listening, patience, and respectful communication
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided and client progress in compliance with agency policies
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic nature
- Excellent communication abilities to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and adapt to changing needs
- Prior experience in home health or caregiving preferred but not required; training provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of basic medical procedures such as medication management and emergency response techniques
- Familiarity with diverse client populations including geriatrics and individuals requiring post-acute or sub-acute care
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
- IHSS approved /background check required min IHSS hours will be requiered which is payed separate
- Transportation required with valid driver's License.
- Preferably live in Solano or Yolo County.
