Cadi Company is an established manufacturer and distributor of metals (copper) looking for a Shipping / Receiving / Material Handler to join our team. The Shipping / Receiving / Material Handler will be detail oriented, dependable, and responsible for moving inventory around the warehouse using various forklifts. The ideal candidate for the Shipping /Receiving / Material Handler position will have experience with computers, basic math as well as be familiar with a tape measure.
Responsibilities:
- Pick and distribute material for sales orders/pick sheets
- Unload and weigh incoming material, check against order, and record in computer
- Use hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, cranes and other handling equipment to move material
- Preform audits of inventory as needed
- Receive material in computer and check for discrepancies
- Work closely with quality and other departments
- Follow safety procedures
- Keep work area neat, clean, and organized
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Willing to work overtime as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience operating forklifts required
- Math skills (understand decimal / fractions) required
- Warehouse experience
- Excellent attitude and attendance a must
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Computer skills a plus but will train the right candidate
The Shipping Receiving Material Handler spends almost 100% of their time in the warehouse in a fast-paced environment with some heavy lifting.
