National, award-winning plaintiff litigation firm with a proven record of success representing tens of thousands of clients in personal injury litigation, civil litigation, and mass torts including product liability, dangerous drugs, and defective medical products is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Paralegal to join its growing team.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume litigation environment. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling all aspects of workers' compensation claims from intake through resolution while working closely with attorneys, clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, and the Workers' Compensation Board. The position is full-time and onsite at the firm's New York City office.
Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume workers' compensation caseload from inception through settlement or hearing.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, motions, and Workers' Compensation Board filings.
- Maintain case calendars, deadlines, hearing schedules, and follow-up tasks.
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, employers, and opposing counsel.
- Obtain, review, and organize medical records, wage records, and other case-related documentation.
- Assist attorneys with hearing preparation, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations.
- Track case status and ensure timely compliance with all procedural deadlines.
- Maintain accurate case files and case management system records.
- Provide exceptional client service and regular case updates.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of workers' compensation paralegal experience.
- New York workers' compensation experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of workers' compensation procedures, filings, and case management.
- Experience managing a high-volume caseload.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus but not required.
- Must be dependable, self-motivated, and possess a team-first attitude.

Pay: $53,622.46 - $64,577.59 per year
