Responsibilities
- Operate warehouse equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and order pickers to load, unload, stock, and move materials efficiently.
- Conduct inventory control activities using warehouse management systems to ensure accuracy in stock levels and locations.
- Prepare items for shipping by packing, labeling, and verifying orders according to specifications while adhering to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Manage receiving processes by inspecting inbound shipments, recording data in inventory management software, and organizing materials for storage or distribution.
- Support order fulfillment through accurate picking, packing, and staging of products using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by following safety procedures, wearing PPE, and performing routine safety checks on equipment.
- Assist with stock replenishment, cycle counts, and audits to uphold inventory integrity across all warehouse operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts (including forklift certification), cranes, or order pickers.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with windows-based computers
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while following safety regulations (OSHA standards).
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately.
- Prior experience in warehouse supervision or leadership roles is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Excellent technical proficiency with technology, fork lifts, pallet jacks, load & unload procedures, and safety protocol adherence.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking, order fulfillment, and documentation processes.
