Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of ice cream flavors and toppings with speed and accuracy, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.
- Accurately execute retail sales transactions by using point-of-sale (POS) systems like Square.
- Engage with customers in a friendly, energetic manner, upselling popular flavors or specialty items to enhance sales.
- Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, including cleaning scoops, utensils, counters, and equipment in accordance with sanitation guidelines.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately during busy service hours while providing excellent customer service.
- Assist in food handling tasks such as stocking supplies, bussing tables, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the food prep area.
- Support team members during peak hours by managing multiple tasks efficiently through effective time management and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and able to consistently meet scheduled shifts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced food service environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable handling customer transactions and operating a POS system
- Ability to follow food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene standards
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
