The hiring range for this position is $45,116.68 (minimum salary) to $62,132.53 (midpoint of range) dependent upon qualifications for a Facility Services Technician I.
The hiring range for this position is $49,800.37 (minimum salary) to $68,582.68 (midpoint of range) dependent upon qualifications for a Facility Services Technician II.
The purpose of this position is to perform technical duties in the repair and maintenance of city buildings. Successful performance results in a safe and attractive environment for employees and citizens.
The work consists of related technical duties. The volume and type of equipment to be maintained contributes to the complexity of the work.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Facility Services Technician I
Major Duties

Responds to emergency and non-emergency repair calls regarding HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, structural, locks, automatic gates, and overhead doors; participates in repair and maintenance duties.

Work with contractors as needed;

Assist others on assigned tasks;
-
Assist with maintaining inventory and purchases building maintenance supplies;

Attends safety and OSHA compliance meetings; attends training sessions as required;

Installs and makes repairs to HVAC, plumbing and electrical apparatuses;

Performs small commercial construction activities;
-
Performs custodial duties as needed;
-
Performs other related duties as assigned.
