American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down/Immediate Care Unit position requiring telemetry skills and a minimum of 1.5-2 years of relevant experience.

Work in a Step-Down/Immediate Care Unit (SDU) within a hospital setting
-
Patient population includes progressive care and telemetry-level acuity patients
-
Typical patient ratio of 1:4, with flexibility to 1:5 during emergencies
-
Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), weekdays with some weekends
-
Blocked schedules considered for weekend blocks only (Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon)

Charting performed in Cerner EMR
-
13-week contract with possibility of extension

Active WV or compact RN license required
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg or Telemetry experience required; 2+ years of Step-Down experience preferred

Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips required

IV insertion skills required

Telemetry monitoring experience required

A copy of your driver's license and Social Security card are required for consideration

Two manager or charge nurse references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Patient acuity varies and may reflect progressive care or telemetry-level needs typical of larger facilities

Scrubs are not provided; burgundy and/or white scrubs are required
