Why this work matters
Every graft we make begins with a gift. Someone chose to be a donor, and their family said yes at the hardest possible moment.
We turn that gift into material a dentist or oral surgeon can use to rebuild a patient's jaw. When a tooth is lost, the bone underneath it starts to disappear, and without bone there is nothing to anchor an implant to. Our grafts give the dentists or oral surgeons something to build on. The patient goes back to eating what they want, speaking clearly, and smiling without thinking about it.
It is also genuinely remarkable science. Bone from one human being, processed and sterilized so that another person's body will accept it and grow new bone into it. That is what you would be making.
The work
You'll work in an ISO Class 5 cleanroom (filtered air, fully gowned and gloved), using surgical instruments to turn donor bone into finished grafts. You will be responsible for cleaning, cutting, grinding, packaging, labeling, and documenting every step as you go.
One technician carries a donor through the entire process, so you learn the full workflow rather than just one piece of it. No tissue banking experience needed. We train you.
About us
Rocky Mountain Tissue Bank is an independent nonprofit tissue bank in Aurora, Colorado, and has been processing allograft bone since 1980.
Dentists and oral surgeons around the country order from us because our grafts are the highest-quality and provide optimal patient outcomes. When a dentist or surgeon opens one of our vials mid-procedure, they trust us to help them provide the best care possible for their patients. That trust is made by you.
We hold ourselves to the highest standards, and we show that by being FDA-registered and ISO-certified, operating to 21 CFR 1271 and AATB Standards.
We are a small team. Every graft that leaves this building passes through someone's hands, and at a company this size, the care you take shows up directly in a patient's recovery.
