We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck Driver to join our logistics team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of truck driving, including tractor-trailer. Familiarity with intermodal yards and rails.
This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Inspection of all equipment hooked to.
- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel usage.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations governing commercial driving.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL-A) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in truck driving containers intermodal work with a focus on automatic transmission operation.
- Familiarity with intermodal types of freight handling.
- Familiar with yards and rails in side and out.
- Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation skills.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with dispatchers and customers.
