Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers in the Richmond area is an expanding, locally owned automotive service provider with five full-service locations in Chester, Mechanicsville, Midlothian, and Powhatan. We provide a state-of-the-art facility for our technicians with a loyal customer following. We pay based on experience and offer strong sign-on bonuses of $1,000 for the right candidates. We are currently hiring for a Automotive Lube Technician position at our Midlothian location on Packer Crossing.
The lube technician is responsible for providing quality service and premium vehicle maintenance in a timely manner.
Primary Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Change oil and oil filters in cars and light trucks and top off fluids.
- Perform a 20-point vehicle inspection following a specific procedure.
- Offer thoughtful, honest recommendations to customers on basic services.
- Move and operate customer vehicles into and out of service bays.
- Maintain positive customer/co-worker relationships.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Act in a professional manner projecting trust, honesty, and respect.
Position Requirements:
- Experience preferred but not necessary. Pay based on experience.
- A self-starter personality with a positive attitude and team-focused.
- Superior communication skills emphasizing INTEGRITY first.
- Desire to build long-term trust with our customers.
- Desire to get your hands dirty and learn all positions.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screen.
- Willingness to work Saturdays / 48-50 hours per week (which includes overtime and commission compensation). Five day work week, we are closed on Sundays, and employees are off one other day during the week.
