We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our team.
Position Summary
The Medical Assistant plays a key role in providing excellent patient care while supporting the provider with both clinical and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, personable, and passionate about helping patients achieve their health and wellness goals.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and room patients in a friendly, professional manner.
- Record vital signs, weight, height, and medical histories.
- Assist providers during office visits and procedures as needed.
- Administer injections, including vitamin, GLP-1 and hormone injections, in accordance with state regulations and clinic protocols.
- Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Manage and process prescription refill requests.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
- Clean and stock exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards.
Qualifications
Required:
- Current Medical Assistant certification or equivalent clinical experience (preferred but not required where permitted by state law)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
Preferred:
- Experience in weight loss, wellness, family medicine, endocrinology, or hormone replacement therapy
- Phlebotomy experience
- Injection administration experience
- Experience with patient education and lifestyle counseling
