Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations in our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, showcasing exceptional leadership and management skills. This role requires a passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service while ensuring that the restaurant runs smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff supervision, inventory control, and budgeting.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Train, develop, and mentor staff to enhance their skills in food preparation, customer service, and restaurant management.
- Oversee food production processes to ensure quality and consistency in menu items.
- Handle cash management and POS systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS.
- Conduct interviews and manage the hiring process for new team members.
- Create schedules for staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Implement marketing strategies to promote special events or menu items.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within the food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices, kitchen management, and culinary techniques.
- Familiarity with quick service & fast food operations as well as fine dining experiences is preferred.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Proficient in cash handling procedures and experience with POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS).
- Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on inventory control and budgeting.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Background in hospitality management or related fields is a plus.
