About the Role
We are seeking a skilled CNC Maintenance Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring that parts meet the required specifications. Your expertise in machining and attention to detail will contribute to our operational success.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform machining operations, ensuring parts meet specified dimensions.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machining parameters and tolerances.
- Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to quality standards.
- Maintain machinery and equipment by performing routine maintenance tasks and troubleshooting minor issues.
- Adjust machine settings to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
- Use hand and pneumatic tools to finish parts and perform necessary adjustments.
- Document all work performed, including dimensions, settings, and any deviations from specifications.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or international equivalent.
- Proficiency in basic math and reading skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings/sketches.
- Skilled in the use of micrometers and precision measuring gages.
- Understanding of the Cartesian coordinate system (X-Y axis).
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Machining Technology certification from a trade/vocational school.
- Knowledge of geometric tolerancing and basic machine shop practices.
- Experience making program changes and operating a laser tracker.
