Hartford Truck Equipment, Inc. is looking to fill a Full-Time experienced Outside Regional Sales Representative to help grow our presence. Hartford Truck is experiencing tremendous growth and is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, organized Outside Sales Representative with entrepreneurial drive to cover our expanding customer base! Hartford Truck is looking for someone to embrace the challenge of expanding our reach by establishing our presence with new potential customers in existing and new territories, create long-lasting relationships, as well as maintaining all existing relationships
The Position:
The Outside Regional Sales Representative is responsible for handling, growing and maintaining customer relations all over New England with a focus on Connecticut, Western Massachusetts as well as Vermont. The primary focus is to raise awareness and create demand for our product offerings in the commercial truck equipment field and drive business to the inside sales team.
This position requires excellent organizational skills, interpersonal communicative skills, the ability to think on one’s feet, as well as the ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers. The job duties revolve around the needs of the customer and always maintain open lines of communication throughout the sales process.
This is a position for a multi-talented, hands-on, sales-oriented individual who loves a challenge!
The Outside Regional Sales Representative position is fast paced, high energy, but not aggressive sales. This position must understand the flow and timing of chassis and chassis builds to be able to forecast for seasonal sales. They must have the ability to learn the best upfits for specific chassis to help our customers succeed and demonstrate best practices on positioning Hartford Truck vs our competition.
The Requirements:
· Primary focus on understanding the customers’ needs and providing solutions
· Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships
· Understands the power of marketing and utilize social media outlets to that affect
· Ability to funnel in necessary information to inside sales team for accurate and timely quoting
· Responding to customer inquiries in a timely manner
· Responsible for quoting and communicating accurate pricing to customers
· Monitors actions of competition to ensure we remain competitive within the market
· Developing and maintaining a thorough knowledge of products to provide accurate information
· Maintaining accurate and detail call logs and reports
· Attends fairs and trade shows to present company product offerings.
· Compiles lists of prospective customers from various internal and external sources for use as sales leads.
· Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, auto insurance and reliable transportation
· After training period minimum of one day in office per month
The Qualifications:
· Superior Customer oriented attitude
· At least 4 years of prior experience in Sales or related field
· Communicate clearly and effectively – Both orally and written
· Must be extremely organized
· Professional appearance and demeanor
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite & QuickBooks
The Benefits:
Competitive Base Salary: $55,000-$65,000 + Uncapped Commission
