- Candidate must be willing to work day or night shift and weekends as needed.
- Candidate must already possess active D & G licenses and provide their own firearm
- Candidate must own their own personal vehicle and maintain a valid drivers license drivers license
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. This role requires a proactive approach to security, utilizing surveillance techniques, conflict management skills, and a strong understanding of security practices. The Armed Security Officer will work in various settings, ensuring the protection of assets, persons, and client locations and effectively resolving disputes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect unauthorized activities.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems to ensure safety and security.
- Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents or investigations.
- Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken in detailed reports.
- Engage in conflict management strategies to resolve disputes effectively.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on security protocols and best practices.
- Provide access control services, granting entry only to residents, their visitors, or persons with a valid reason for entry.
- Operate a company issued motor vehicle
Experience
- Valid armed security license is required.
- Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for reporting incidents accurately.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR is preferred; certification may be provided.
