What you'll be responsible for:

Bed and clean stalls in the Receiving Barn, Test Barn and Stakes Barn as needed.

Maintain shedrows in Receiving Barn and Stakes Barn.

Order, maintain and track bedding for the receiving barn, stakes barn, test barn, and outriders.

Account for and maintain equipment including water hoses, wheel barrows, pitchforks, rakes, etc.

Work with Stall Superintendant to maintain and operate the Horse Exerciser as needed.

Wash down stalls, walking ring, and winners circle.

Fill washouts and paddock drains.

Check paddock area rail and fence and make repairs as needed.

Clean bird manure, grass clippings and mulch.

Empty, wash, and refill pony water trough.

Clean sand from under paddock bricks when uneven.

Keep all equipment clean, well maintained, and set correctly.

Assist in grounds keeping after all above duties are completed.
Requirements: Knowledge of backside racing/maintenance procedures. Must have knowledge of PC computer-Windows, Excel, Microsoft Office. Ability to use rakes, shovels, and four-wheeler. Indoor and outdoor environment. Minimal travel on the backside required. Heavy physical demands. Must be able to lift 75 lbs. Works around horses. Ability to stand or walk for 8 hour shift, bend, and do overhead work.
