Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, fast-paced Cashier & Dishwasher to be the face of our takeout restaurant. In this role, you won't just be ringing up orders—you will play a crucial part in the final assembly and presentation of our dishes. You will handle customer transactions, ensure order accuracy, scoop/portion sides, and pack meals securely so they stay fresh and hot for our guests on the go.
For Cashier
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales: Greet guests warmly, take accurate walk-in and phone orders, and efficiently manage the Point of Sale (POS) system.
Food Assembly & Portioning: Assist the kitchen by portioning, plating, or packaging hot and cold food items (such as sides, sauces, and main dishes) according to standard portion sizes.
Order Verifications: Double-check takeout, delivery, and online orders against receipts to ensure no items are missing before sealing the bags.
Cash Handling & Compliance: Securely process cash, credit card, and mobile payments. Maintain an accurate cash drawer in compliance with local financial and business regulations.
Front-of-House Maintenance: Keep the counter, menu boards, condiment stations, and pickup areas immaculate, sanitized, and fully stocked.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Customer-First Attitude: High energy, patience, and excellent verbal communication skills.
Speed and Accuracy: Ability to handle long lines and high order volumes during peak Philadelphia lunch and dinner rushes without losing attention to detail.
Basic Math & Tech Literacy: Comfortable navigating modern POS touchscreens and accurately calculating change.
For Dishwasher Duties:

Dishwashing & Sanitation: Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashers and three-compartment sinks.
Food Preparation: Assist cooks by washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients (such as vegetables, proteins, and herbs) following exact recipe specs.
Kitchen Organization: Maintain an organized dish pit and prep area. Ensure clean items are promptly returned to their proper stations so the line cooks have what they need.
Waste Management: Regularly empty kitchen trash cans, recycling, and compost bins into external dumpsters, replacing liners immediately.
Food Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to Philadelphia Department of Public Health food safety standards, including proper cross-contamination prevention and safe chemical handling.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Pace & Stamina: Ability to work quickly in a hot, fast-moving kitchen environment and stand for long periods.
Knife Skills & Prep Knowledge: Basic comfort with kitchen tools, commercial appliances, and standard cutting/peeling techniques.
Detail-Oriented Cleaning: Dedication to high cleanliness standards, ensuring no grease or residue is left on kitchenware.
