Join our dynamic team as a Forklift Operator and Material Handler, where you'll be the driving force behind efficient warehouse operations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo equipment to load and unload shipments efficiently.
- Pick and prepare orders accurately using order picker equipment and warehouse management systems.
- Assist in warehouse distribution tasks by organizing inventory, stacking pallets, and maintaining clean work areas.
- Conduct routine equipment repairs or report maintenance issues promptly to ensure optimal performance of all machinery.
- Support shipping and receiving operations by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation.
- Use basic math skills to count inventory items accurately and ensure proper load capacities are maintained.
- Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies to promote a safe working environment for all team members.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, or Hi-Lo forklifts within a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picking procedures.
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and troubleshooting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes including shipping & receiving, materials handling, and order picking.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts and load calculations.
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain one) is highly desirable.
