Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, multi-skilled Enterprise Classroom Modernization Coordinator to provide critical non-personal facilities support services for the U.S. Army Transportation Corps School's Maritime & Intermodal Training Department (MITD) at Fort Eustis (JBLE).
In this role, you will act as the core portfolio facilitator linking modernization planning, facility maintenance, equipment lifecycle tracking, and stakeholder communications across 12 buildings, 37 classrooms, laboratories, and specialized training areas. You will play a vital part in ensuring operational readiness for both Army personnel and co-located Military Sealift Command (MSC) Civilian Mariners.
Key Responsibilities
Modernization & Lifecycle Coordination
- Assist in collecting, managing, and submitting classroom and facilities modernization requirements as an active member of the MITD Work Group.
- Support the development and submission of the Classroom Validation Requirements Model (CVRM) and Device Validation Requirements Model (DVRM).
- Coordinate the request, tracking, and execution of Enterprise Classroom Program (ECP) lifecycle equipment replacements.
Facilities Management & Quality Control
- Prepare, submit, track, and log facility work requests, service orders, and technical approvals for self-help projects.
- Conduct facility safety, physical security, and occupational health (OSHA) inspections.
- Maintain 100% accurate key and key card control logs IAW Army Physical Security Programs.
- Apply multi-skilled trade knowledge to evaluate facility deficiencies and provide technical recommendations on whether work should be completed in-house or contracted out.
Stakeholder Coordination & Timelines
- Serve as the primary liaison between MITD leadership, the Civil Engineer Squadron (CES), the T2COM ECP team, and co-located tenant organizations.
- Coordinate site visits for construction projects and schedule/oversee new training device equipment installations.
- Meet strict response thresholds: Acknowledge urgent requests within 1 hour, routine maintenance requests within 3 business hours, and respond to occupant facility inquiries within 1 business day.
- Distribute building-wide notices regarding maintenance schedules or infrastructure disruptions in a timely manner.
Data & Operations Discipline
- Document and track 100% of administrative and maintenance actions using a detailed master spreadsheet format (capturing order numbers, submissions, and completion status).
- Operate a non-tactical light utility vehicle (up to 1-ton load capacity) and a small gas-propelled forklift to transport materials and equipment to work sites when necessary.
- Provide input for the firm's Quality Control Plan (QCP) and compile data for the Monthly Summary Report (MSR).
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred, combined with extensive operational experience in government, military, or defense-contracted facilities support settings.
- Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of OSHA facility standards, building maintenance practices, and general safety protocols.
- Skills: Expert-level capability in administrative tracking, spreadsheet management (Microsoft Excel/Word), and project task scoping/justification.
- Logistics: Must possess a valid driver's license and be fully capable of operating a small gas-propelled forklift and a 1-ton utility vehicle.
- Installation Access: Must pass a favorable local background check to secure a Common Access Card (CAC) and JBLE installation passes.
- Mandatory Training: Must complete required federal onboarding training within 30 days of hire (including AT Level I, OPSEC Level I, iWATCH, and DoD Cyber Awareness).
