Summary:
The Member Services Representative establishes new accounts and makes changes to accounts (i.e., adding/removing joint members and beneficiaries, name changes). Supports Teachers branches, Contact Center, and other departments.
Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required
-
Minimum one year of general work experience required

Banking experience preferred
-
Proficient in MS Word and Excel required

Strong oral and written communication, multitasking, internet skills, and excellent telephone etiquette are required

Knowledge of Teachers policies, practices and systems preferred

Job Responsibilities:

Processes incoming email, postal mail, fax, Docusign, and Salesforce requests on a daily basis

Responds to requests for change-of-address, add/remove joint member, beneficiaries, name changes due to marriage, divorce or legal name changes

Reviews and updates accounts for W-8BEN forms and Power-of-Attorney forms

Establishes accounts (e.g., checking, savings, holiday and vacation clubs, etc.) using Avoka/Docusign/DNA Wizard

Responds quickly, accurately and courteously to members, branch/other departments
-
Identifies issues requiring follow up, contacts members to obtain information, and mails forms and other documentation

Processes DocuSign forms for member requested data changes following process and procedure

Educates members by advising them of additional Teachers products and services
-
Placing restrictions on accounts, updates mail codes and sends correspondence to members requesting address change per policy and procedure

Logs member requests into Salesforce and maintains cases referred to the Membership Department
-
Uses Salesforce to process cases, create partner referrals, and logs information from member phone conversations
- Performs other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor

The good faith range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00 per hour. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. The salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
