Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, focusing on literacy, math, social-emotional development, and physical activity
- Create a warm, welcoming classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management
- Utilize curriculum development strategies to tailor activities that meet diverse learning needs, including children requiring special education or early intervention services
- Foster effective communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on child progress and classroom activities
- Maintain detailed documentation of child development progress in accordance with mandated reporting laws and school policies
- Implement classroom management techniques to promote safety, respect, and cooperation among students
- Incorporate child welfare best practices and first aid/CPR procedures to ensure a secure environment at all times
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary activities that support holistic child development and standardized testing preparation when appropriate
Skills
- Extensive experience working with children in preschool or early childhood settings, including toddler care and preschool teaching
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and effective classroom management strategies
- Proficiency in curriculum development with an emphasis on literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and behavior management
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with children, parents, staff, and community partners
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols
- Experience integrating special education strategies and early intervention techniques into daily instruction
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or early childhood education are preferred
- Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons using innovative teaching methods tailored for young learners

Pay: $56,000.00 - $68,652.00 per year
